Most of you already know I am a huge fan of metal music. Heavy metal is my main genre, but I’ve found at least one song of pretty much every genre (and sub-genre) that I like. Also in rock, rock-‘n-roll / rockabilly and even pop music.
I mostly listen to metal. I think about over 80% of the music I listen to is metal. I have been to various metal gigs and festivals. Metal is more than just music to me. It’s a part of who I am. Metal speaks to me with so many different emotions with a sincerity that I don’t get from any other genres. It has supported me in many aspects of my life; it is my super potent anti-depressant, my party music, my relaxation. Metal has gotten me through a rough part of my life, and it’s been a part of the happiest moments in life.
So what exactly is the metal lifestyle? Metal means different things to different people and I am not the authority on what is or isn’t metal. To me, living metal allows me to express myself, being myself. It’s is all about authenticity.
As I already said, with my project “Metal ME” I would like to share my love for metal music and lifestyle. I have a handful of metal band shirts which I am going to show you. I will explain why some have a deeper meaning to me. I will share my favorite music, my love for vinyl, my dearest memories.
