Nothing Wrong With Nude

There’s nothing wrong with nudity! The human body is beautiful. However, nude photography still seems to be some kind of taboo.

In my oppinion nude photography is part art form, part strategic endeavor, and all pep talk. Good nude photography is beautiful, sensual, classy and for all women; from petite to plus-size. For a model, nude pictures also aren’t used only to be sexual. They can be an important act of self-love, of reclaiming our individual feelings of how to view ourselves, independent of outward forces.

Although I don’t disapprove nude photography, I never in a million years thought I would do something like this, let alone post it. But there is so much beauty in being vulnerable and pushing yourself to do things that “scare” you.

A few years ago, I did a boudoir styled / nude photo shoot with the talented photographer Perfect-GS-Picture, and I have to say we created some stunning images. Was I comfortable? I suppose you could say I was. My stomach wasn’t super flat and my waist wasn’t that small. This were features I disliked, which I loathed. But I figured ‘what the hell’ and chose to ignore those as best I could.

My hair and beautiful make-up were done by professional make-up artist Maggot’s visagie & grime.  She really did an amazing job. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure I was 100% happy with it… which I was!

This was my first nude / boudoir photo shoot and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I think the part that scared me the most was posting these. I was never the girl to post bikini pictures. Not because I was ever told not to, but simply because I always told myself “you can’t do that or wear that or post that”.

To conclude, it was an experience I would recommend to any woman. It was so empowering, mostly as you’re walking out and say “I just did that shit!”. It might be scary, and you really are going to feel vulnerable, but at the end of it you will have a set of images that will remind you to live everyday like the woman in them, happy and confident. Because everyBODY is beautiful and our bodies deserve us to cherish them a lot more.
